A different impression from every angle
A glass with bold, passionate cuts
Unlike traditional Edo or Satsuma Kiriko, Otaru Kiriko stands out with its two-layer design: amber glass at the base overlaid with vibrant color. Hand-polished edges reveal the glowing amber inside, producing a radiant beauty.
The fire polish technique adds a refined shine, further setting Otaru Kiriko apart from other styles.
“Miyabi” was the very first design to make Otaru Kiriko famous. Bold cuts intertwine with traditional chrysanthemum patterns, and the amber base evokes passionate flames. The irregular cutting creates shifting impressions depending on the viewing angle.
This guinomi-style cup allows you to admire the shine in the palm of your hand. It’s not only ideal for sake but also perfect for small appetizers or desserts.
Fukagawa Glass Craft
Masters of light and fire, uniquely devoted to Otaru Kiriko
Fukagawa Glass, founded in Tokyo, began as a base-glass supplier for Edo Kiriko craftsmen.
In 2003, they moved to Otaru and started crafting unique products and glass materials based on their own techniques—giving rise to Otaru Kiriko.
They’re also committed to SDGs, using recycled glass, meltwater recovery, and heat recycling systems that have attracted international attention.
